How to apply quick-drying concrete for installing a gate post or fence post
The concrete makes easy and simple is just a few steps.
At the right location, dig a hole with the desired dimensions depending on the load
Fill the hole half full with clean tap water.
Place the post in the correct position in the hole and fill the hole evenly with quick-setting concrete mortar without mixing.
Immediately after filling the post with quick-setting concrete, lift the post to allow some concrete to settle underneath.
Briefly mix the existing mortar in the hole.
Add a small amount of water to rinse the pole clean.
Within 2 minutes of adding the mortar, adjust the post to the desired position (vertically level) and correct the position if necessary.
Make sure there's no load on the post and support it if necessary. If you've installed a gate post with a wing, let the concrete cure for at least a day while supporting the wing.
If you use quick-setting concrete for a fence post, you can install the fence after 30 minutes.
